Oregon City Juneteenth Celebration

A Juneteenth Celebration has been held at the Oregon City library since 2020 to celebrate the achievements and contributions of people of color connected to Oregon City. The event includes music, vendors, and poetry created by people in the BIPOC community. This event has been a great way to have fun while also learning about the experiences of black people that are not often talked about in our community.

Since 2020, we have providing grant writing and event planning support for this placemaking activity .
